Wow, I can't believe we've had this sweet boy for 11 mos. Here's proof :)

Christmas 2009

Our Christmas vacation was fabulous!!! In the mids of the GRE, graduate school applications, ten page research papers, comprehensive tests, and cleaning the house, we got a TWO-WEEK vacation! Woo hoo! Some of the highlights from our vacation were seeing GG, making and giving gifts to people (including a small piece of fabric with some old buttons sewn on from my mom for Charles, a couple of fun games for Chas, a $1 picture album with a bunch of pictures of family, friends, pets, places and cars for Jack ;D, and a date-night for my parents), game nights with GG when we played Chas' new games and listened to GG tell stories, taking lots of pictures, a daddy-daughter date with my dad, going to a home-studio to record a Christmas song I wrote (Chas and Camilla and I all sang together), having Mom teach me how to make a baby quilt for Charles :), going to Aunt Dar and Uncle Gary's house for dinner Christmas day and seeing everyone meet and play with Charles, going to see “The Blind Side” as a family while my sweet Aunt Dar babysat Charles, taking care of Charles while he was sick with a high fever, receiving Camilla's home-made cards for everyone in the family, going to get haircuts from Aunt Dar, seeing my best friend from high school (Janine) who is now engaged, splitting wood with Dad, going shopping with Chas and getting a beautiful new blouse (one of his gifts to me) and watching “The Grinch.” !!!! - We had such a wonderful vacation and now Chas and I are both back in school, and Charles is learning just as much including picking up food and eating it, rolling over back and forth, pulling himself up to his toy bin, going forward in his walker, getting a new tooth and saying new things, making new faces, etc.! All is going well and we're excited for 2010!

We've had so much fun lately! It's been snowing lots here in Provo, and Charles is 7 months now! I can't believe it. He loves playing the keyboard in our apartment, he shakes his head back and forth to "flirt" or play with people =), he plays with toys for a long time, he is starting to move his legs to go places when we hold him up, and he is rocking on his hands and knees. I think crawling is probably not too far away. Anyway - just wanted to take a moment and share some pictures.

Halloween 2009!

So - this Halloween was a blast! Our Ward Halloween Party was Friday night and we decided to dress Charles up as a missionary using Chas' old missionary badge! He was the sweetest little missionary I've seen! =) We parted his hair and dressed him in church clothes and gave him Chas' tie from when he was little. It was so fun! And Chas and I went as Beauty and the Prince the Beast turns into at the end of the story =) The party was so fun. Night 2 - Halloween. We decided at the end of the day to dress Charles up and take him out. So we put him in his Tigger suit loaned by Aunt Salem and Uncle Craig and gave him eyeliner whiskers, and took him to 4 houses. He got a lot of candy for going to 4 houses! Sheesh! Anyway - Chas and I will take care of it for him. ha ha
