We've had so much fun lately! It's been snowing lots here in Provo, and Charles is 7 months now! I can't believe it. He loves playing the keyboard in our apartment, he shakes his head back and forth to "flirt" or play with people =), he plays with toys for a long time, he is starting to move his legs to go places when we hold him up, and he is rocking on his hands and knees. I think crawling is probably not too far away. Anyway - just wanted to take a moment and share some pictures.

Halloween 2009!

So - this Halloween was a blast! Our Ward Halloween Party was Friday night and we decided to dress Charles up as a missionary using Chas' old missionary badge! He was the sweetest little missionary I've seen! =) We parted his hair and dressed him in church clothes and gave him Chas' tie from when he was little. It was so fun! And Chas and I went as Beauty and the Prince the Beast turns into at the end of the story =) The party was so fun. Night 2 - Halloween. We decided at the end of the day to dress Charles up and take him out. So we put him in his Tigger suit loaned by Aunt Salem and Uncle Craig and gave him eyeliner whiskers, and took him to 4 houses. He got a lot of candy for going to 4 houses! Sheesh! Anyway - Chas and I will take care of it for him. ha ha

Charles has a cousin!

This weekend Aunt Salem and Craig brought their newborn baby, Brigham Craig, to visit. Charles met him, his first cousin(!) for the first time and the entire weekend was a blast!

Just a few things about Charles...we have a lot to catch up on =) Charles is 5 1/2 months. He is sitting, laughing, playing, communicating more, and just being sweet and fun. His calm, wise, and thoughtful personality plus his charming smile and sweet nature make him so handsome! We are so grateful to be parents and to have this wonderful little boy. We have a blog! Yay! A little about us - Chas and I met at BYU when we were both in a student ward there. Our story - basically we were really good friends. I thought the world of him; I hadn't met a more interesting, genuine, intelligent, fun man, and I loved doing things with him. One night I had a dream that we wrote a song together, and the tune was awesome!! I like to write music as a hobby, and so when I woke up and couldn't remember the tune, I was bummed! That night I told him about it, and he joked that we really should. After talking a little more, we started to get excited and decided to really try. We went and played around on a piano near our apt. complex and decided to write a love song. It was so fun! He asked me on our first date that night. =) He first held my hand at a Bells on Temple Square Christmas concert. We became engaged March 27, 2008, and were married June 6, 2008 in the Medford, OR temple. At our wedding reception in Caliente, NV a couple weeks later (his home town), we performed the song we DID end up writing, finishing, and even recording =D, ironically called, "I Have a Dream." Two months after we were married we went to China for 7 1/2 months where Chas studied Chinese and completed an internship with a law firm and I taught English. About a month after we arrived, we took a pregnancy test that turned out positive! I'd been having "trouble with the food" for longer than normal...ha ha. It was a wonderful experience. Now we're in Provo, UT where Chas is finishing school and I am too...slowly =) We have a wonderfully sweet and handsome 5 1/2 month old baby boy (Charles Michael) and life is just about as good as it gets... Our adventure continues =)
